‘Twas Em brillig, and the slithy toves
Did C gyre and G gimble in the C wabe
All Em mimsy were the boro-C goves
And the mome raths Em outgrabe.
‘Be-Em ware the Jabber-G wock, my C son!
The jaws that D bite, the G claws that C catch!
Be-Em ware the B Jubjub C bird, and shun
The G frumious Em Bandersnatch!’
He Em took his vorpal sword in hand
Long C time the G manxome foe he C sought
So Em rested he by the Tumtum C tree
And stood a-B while in Em thought.
And Em as in uffish thought he stood
The C Jabberwock, with G eyes of C flame
Came Em whiffling through the G tulgey C wood
And burbled G as it Em came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
‘And Em has thou slain the G Jabberwock?
Come C to my G arms, my beamish C boy!
O Em frabjous C day! Calloh! Callay!’
He chortled G in his Em joy
